Stan Grant
Stan Grant is a theologian, writer and Charles Sturt University distinguished professor. He was formerly ABC’s Global Affairs and Indigenous Affairs Analyst.
He is one of Australian’s most respected and awarded journalists with a career spanning work at ABC, SBS, NITV and the Seven Network. Stan was previously the international editor at SKY News and has held posts in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong and Beijing for CNN International.
With more than 30 years’ experience in radio and television news and current affairs, Stan has a strong reputation for independence and integrity. He was awarded the 2015 Walkley award for coverage of Indigenous affairs. Stan has interviewed numerous world leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Hilary Clinton, Yasser Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas and Australian Prime Ministers including the late Bob Hawke.
He is an award-winning and best-selling author of several books including last year’s The Queen is Dead. Stan has also published articles with many major Australian newspapers, magazines and journals,
currently contributing a regular column to The Saturday Paper.
